Tacita, a zero-emission world
Welcome to the Tacita world. The passion for the enduro combined with the desire to enjoy a bike, respecting the environment and the people that surround us, pushed Italian Pierpaolo Rigo to develop a project that was only an idea in 2009.
Thanks to the cooperation of an experienced staff, focused on research, engineering and design, the T-RACE was created, the first enduro bike with electric propulsion performance.
The T-Race is an innovative electric machine that can compete with the traditional motorbike combustion engines, giving sensations of pure riding with large autonomy, as it is able to cover around 100 km of tracks in rally race conditions.
The target to build a silent zero-emission machine, high tech and fun to ride was largely met last November when the T-Race made its debut in the Merzouga Rally, Morocco, being the first ever electric machine to compete and finish a real African Rally.
But PierPaolo Rigo’s start up, with its headquarters located in Valle d’Aosta, Italy, in the area of Aosta’s new innovative business park, is more than just the T-Race. Aiming to give a strong contribution to a sustainable future, Tacita has developed a concept, the T-WORLD, which wants to have a 360 degree eco-friendly approach, from the T-STATION, the trailer equipped with solar panels, to the T-WEAR, a professional line of dedicated clothing and accessories, that combine the made-in Italy design with ethical and eco-friendly criteria.
To satisfy the commitment to a 100% environment sustainability, the batteries of the T-Race can be recharged thanks to the energy produced by the solar panels that cover the roof of the T-Station- the innovative trailer – that can open its gull wings to maximise the exposure to reach 18 square meters. Working as a solar-energy charging station and a storage cabinet, the T-STATION can light your house or a bivouac in the desert as happened in Morocco during the Merzouga Rally.
After the African adventure, the T-RACE will be back on the Italian tracks thanks to the T-TOUR, the best way to test the T-Race on enduro and cross-country tracks throughout beautiful natural landscapes from Tuscany to the Aosta Valley.
